This assignment was to make a digital self-portrait on Adobe Illustrator. I had to take a photo, download it to the computer and then create a silhouette of my self on the program, which is just simply out line my photo. First I was just experimenting with the new tools. We had to also incorporate some sort of font in our silhouette.
I took a picture of me sitting down in a chair so my silhouette is me sitting in the chair and in around me is a red heart my silhouette is typed in white font filling on my body in and the chair. I used he basic Arial font. For my second image I did the opposite of my first one. The heart in the background is outlined in Arial font and my image is all colored in white.
I think the way I cropped my price creates a great composition because it’s so simply but makes you think it has a deeper meaning. I think the font I choice goes well with my quote since I created it. My background enhances my photo because it simply balances it out.
I really like the end product. In the beginning I was really frustrated with this project and wanted to quite a couple of times but in the end it was worth it cause now I am really satisfied. I would recommend this project for future classes.
